Special Needs

Please pray for me. I am facing some difficult, potentially life-changing decisions and I am really nervous about them. I struggle with decision-making, and I want to make sure that I am doing what God wants me to do. My husband and I are trying to conceive, but there is also a potential new job opportunity available that would be a really good fit for me. I don’t know if it is wise to look at other opportunities at this time, or if I should stay where I’m at with better job security. Please pray for clarity in my decision-making process. Thank you.

Please pray for me. I am facing many spiritual attacks. My home loan can’t close, and the banks are taking action against our home. Some days, I have my aunt with me, who is also in poor health. Please pray for God to peacefully solve all my debt issues and that I’ll receive the bank loan by the grace of God. Also, pray to fulfill my marriage supernaturally according to the will of God. Also, pray for my divine lifestyle, economic situations, and my good health.

Please pray for my father, Garnet. He is a multiple time survivor of stage four cancer. He has been in remission for 12 years. For the last year, he has been declining. A year ago, he got back pain, and he kept saying it was sciatica. It got worse and worse, and then his feet swelled. Both legs became numb to the point that he can’t walk. The numbness then spread to his forehead and mouth. So, it is getting to where he cannot eat. Prayers are needed now more than ever!

Praise Reports in Illinois

My friend, Esther, is doing well following her brain surgery. She received a good report from the doctor about her recovery and her first physical therapy appointment went well. It’s been over a week since she’s been sick to her stomach following the surgery, so she is very glad to be on the mend from that. She was able to get out and walk around to build up her strength. She also got to celebrate Thanksgiving with her family and friends, and she felt well enough to go to church this past Sunday. There are still many other things she needs continued prayers for, but she is doing well overall.

Please pray that God will provide a safe place for me to stay. This is an urgent prayer request! I am trying to leave an abusive relationship where I am being controlled and harmed. I don’t have anywhere to go, and I don’t have any family. The God I know can work miracles and move mountains, so I pray that He will send me the right people. I pray God will deliver me from all forms of sexual sin and dishonesty. The person I’ve been with is leading me down the wrong path, and I pray that God will give me the confidence to seek first His Kingdom and His Righteousness, wisdom, discernment, and obedience in every issue. Anything keeping me and my husband God has for me, from stepping into His best plan without the bad, that would be thrown into the sea in Jesus’s name by the power of His blood! Please pray for my son’s salvation. I pray that he feels and understands how much his family cares about him. We are hoping that he will change his mind and attend our family gathering instead of isolating. It is painful living in a house with someone and witnessing him shun the rest of the family for no good reason. This is causing anger and pain for me and my husband. It is unbearable watching your child isolate and become angry toward everyone. Therapy does not seem to help, as I believe he is not being honest with his therapist. How to know God!

1. God loves you and created you to know Him personally. He desires that you have a full life.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
(John 3:16)

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
(John 10:10)

2. Man is sinful and separated from God, so we cannot know Him personally or experience His love.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”
(Romans 3:23)

Man was created to have fellowship with God. However, because of his own stubborn self-will and rebellion, he chose to go his own way. Because of this, fellowship with God was broken. This rebellion and attitude is what the Bible calls sin.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
(Romans 6:23)

“He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power.”
(II Thessalonians 1:8-9)

3. Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for man’s sin. Through Him alone, we can know God’s personally and experience His love.

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
(Romans 5:8)

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”
(John 14:6)

God bridged the gulf that separates us from Him by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in our place to pay the penalty for our sins.

4. We must individually receive Jesus Christ as our Savior; then we can know God personally and experience His love.

“Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God”
(John 1:12)

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God”
(Ephesians 2:8)

We receive Christ through a personal invitation.

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.”
(Revelation 3:20)

Receiving Christ means turning to God from self (repentance) and trusting Jesus to come into our lives, knowing He will forgive us of our sins.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
(I John 1:9)

We receive Christ, by faith, as an act of our will.

5. You can receive Christ right now by praying this prayer (prayer is simply talking to God):

“Father, I know that I am a sinner and I ask you to forgive me. I believe Christ died for me and I want to turn from my sins. Jesus, come into my heart and be my personal Lord and Savior. I promise to obey you and follow you all the days of my life.”

If you repeated that prayer in sincerity, then the Bible says you are a new creation:

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”
(II Corinthians 5:17)
