How does a husband and wife go from a comfortable life in the business world, to building what would become one of the most premiere Christian broadcasting networks in the world? The answer – God! That’s right! God called and Dr. Garth and Tina Coonce said “yes!”
It was in 1976 when the Lord began to deal with TCT Founders Dr. Garth and Tina Coonce about launching a Christian television station. Much like patriarch, Abraham many centuries before, obeying the Holy Spirit and stepping out on faith, they left the comfort of what they knew and entered into what was to them an unfamiliar land – the land of broadcast television. After much heartfelt prayer along with a lot of sweat and tears, “Tri-State Christian Television” was born the following year.
What began in 1977 as one Christian station in the Cincinnati area covering the tri-state region soon outgrew its name. TCT – now “Total Christian Television” has exploded into a world-wide network of broadcast stations helping to bring the Gospel message around the world twenty-four hours a day!
