Recipe - Home Made Egg Rolls




1lb of ground pork
2 Tab bacon grease
1 pkg egg roll dough
1 cup shredded carrots
2  ½ cups shredded cabbage
Canola Oil for frying
Heavy pot for frying; tongs; small bowl of water



Cook the filling; lay out wrappers individually, place a heaping spoonful of mixture in the middle of each wrapper; Use your finger to spread a little water along the edge of the wrapper; fold two opposite corners together to make a triangle, fold the sides in and then roll tightly; seal the edges with the water and fry in hot oil.
Tip:  Store the cooked meat and vegetable mixture in the fridge over night. This trick will help make sure the egg roll does not fall apart.
