You have something to smile about!
When Mother Teresa was directing her mission in Calcutta, India, someone asked her, “What would be your job description for a person who wanted to work with you in this impoverished, needy place?”
She didn’t hesitate to give an answer: “They need the desire to work hard, and have a joyful attitude.” Let’s face it. Life can be tough at times. As Charles Swindol observed, “Newspapers thrive on tragedies and calamities, lost jobs and horrible accidents. The same can be said of televised newscasts. Even the weather reports give their primary attention to storms, droughts, and blizzards.” For a change of pace, open the pages of God’s Word and “Delight yourself...in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4). “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4). The noted writer, C. S. Lewis, believed, “Joy is the serious business of Heaven.”
Remember, you have something to smile about today and always!
