Are You Willing to Give Your All?
Letter from our President, Dr. Garth Coonce
Are you willing to give your all? I ask you this because I want you to know that regardless of your circumstances it is only through personal sacrifice and all-out dedication that you may find contentment, satisfaction and true success.
Michelangelo, the famous Italian Renaissance architect, poet, sculptor and painter, had an amazing career; however, it was not handed to him on a silver platter.
There is no denying that he possessed unparalleled talents; his achievements and notoriety arrived only after he had completely committed himself, even to the point of physical exhaustion.
For four years, Michelangelo laid flat on his back on a hard, cold scaffold painting the fresco in the Sistine Chapel. Upon completion of his commission in 1512, the artist was nearly blind from all the paint that dripped in his eyes.
Because he was willing to dedicate his life to his work, he created magnificent works that continue to be admired across the world.
When it comes to personal sacrifice and all-out dedication, the choice is yours. Ask yourself, What is God's plan for me? How am I fulfilling His plan? Am I fully committed to His will?
"Let your heart therefore be wholly true to the Lord our God, walking in his statutes and keeping his commandments, as at this day." 1 Kings 8:61
