Run Towards God!
But Jonah rose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. Jonah 1:3
Dear Friends and Partners,
This Sunday, we've been thinking about Jonah. Jonah thought he could run from God and his fears wouldn't follow him, but he was wrong! Running away from God is never the answer. When you feel like the world isn't cutting you any slack, or you're being weighted down by worry, that is the perfect time to run towards God. Let Him handle the burden, as we've said a few times over the years,"Let go, and let God handle the weight of it all!"
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
We can try to flee like Jonah did, or we can stick and stay - letting the Holy Spirit overwhelm us with His presence. We know what we'd choose, how about you? Will you let God show you what He has in store for you?
In His Service,
Garth and Tina
